Integrating iContact

iContact is a great autoresponder that helps you maximize your efficiency and effectiveness in connecting with and nurturing customers. It’s one of the reasons why we provided an iContact integration with Clepher. You simply add your iContact API details inside the Integration Manager on Page Level. Then on the Composer, you find the iContact Card, and you drag 'n drop yourself any powerful automation.

Which iContact Actions & Fields are supported?

Supported Actions

  • Create Contact - Creates a new contact in iContact.

  • Update Contact - Updates an existing contact in iContact.

  • Delete Contact - Deletes an existing contact in iContact.

  • Create Contact in List - Adds a contact into any list in iContact. If the contact does not yet exist, a new contact will be created, and then added to the list.

Want to forward subscriber data like Email Address, Phone Number, Tags, Custom Fields, and more to iContact? Simply fill out a couple of fields, point 'n click a couple of times, and data is transferred over to your favorite autoresponder where you can further automate everything you'd like.

Supported Fields

  • Email Address - You forward any Custom Field of the type email here, the Custom Field you use to store subscriber's email addresses.

  • Phone Number - In addition to the email address, a phone number can be set to any created or updated iContact contact from Clepher.

  • Custom Fields - Custom Fields can be passed manually from Clepher to iContact as key, value pairs.

Note that the First Name and Last Name are automatically set by Clepher from your subscriber’s name on Facebook.

How to Get Started with iContact

  • To get started with iContact, first, navigate to the Integrations page and click Create New, then select iContact.

 

 

  • The connection form will ask you to authorize the Clepher app on iContact to write data on your behalf.

 

 

  • Once you authorized the app you can give the Integration a name. I.E. iContact Integration #1

How to get your iContact API Key

To obtain your iContact API Key, follow these steps:

  • Click the "Settings and Billing" option located under your name and profile picture.

 

  • The Account Settings menu will appear. Click "iContact Integrations".

 

 

  • The iContact Integrations page requires you to create an APP.

 

 

  • After clicking Create, your APP is created, and you’re redirected to a screen containing your APP ID, Username, and APP Password.

 

 

  • It is these details you need to fill in the connection form on Clepher

You integrated iContact, now what?

We’ve got an elaborate explanation of how to use Autoresponder integrations inside Clepher. You can find this article filed in the Automation Section. To give you a brief explanation, you do this while building out your Flows with the Composer. There’s a specific card, just for this purpose, that allows you to ask for a subscriber’s email. When set up correctly, that email is forwarded to any of the services you integrated under Integrations, and automatically added to the list you specify under this card.
