Post Engagement (Instagram)
Post Engagement is an entry point for people to your chatbot. Once set up, you can get your chatbot to privately reply to any person commenting on your Instagram post. It’s a great way to follow up with your most engaged fans and followers as well to generate more subscribers. Private Replies allows you to reply to comments made on Instagram posts with a single message on Instagram. When using this feature, the user will get a message with a reference link to the comment that is getting the reply. Automatic Private replies are allowed within 7 days of the creation date of the comment.

Submitted
In this section, you’ll discover more about the Submitted section.
Send Private Reply Right After
Specify the delay after which users will receive the text message you’ve specified under “Private reply after post engagement”.
As of January 8, 2024, the delay options have been deprecated. The only remaining option is immediately.
Private Reply After Post Engagement
The selected Flow/Message will be sent to users who posted a comment, or a reply to a comment, on your Instagram Posts.
Click on “Open Preview” to preview the message the subscriber receives.
Important Tip about Post Engagement
People only become a subscriber once they have replied, or interacted with your chatbot after receiving the initial reply you’ve specified under “Private Reply After Post Engagement”. So make sure your first reply is engaging enough so they become a subscriber once they reply to your first message.
Selecting your Instagram Post
Applying all the settings you’ve specified to an Instagram post or Instagram posts is easy!
You simply click on the posts you would like to apply your desired settings to.
Once clicked, the Instagram post gets highlighted with a Green Border which indicates this post is now selected.
You can select multiple Instagram posts. Meaning any settings you specify can be applied to more posts than just one. However, a post can only be used once in setup. So any post you select will disappear in a new Post Engagement setup making sure things don’t conflict.
Selecting All Instagram Posts
You can also choose to apply the settings you specify to All Posts (this cover past and future post)
You simply click on Catch All Posts to apply your desired settings to All Past and Future Posts.
Once clicked, Catch All Posts gets highlighted with a Green Border which indicates this post is now selected.
Enabling your Post Engagement for Instagram
To make your Post Engagement live, make sure you enable it.
To enable, make sure the toggle in the right upper corner is blue and switched to the right.
Saving your Post Engagement for Instagram
Once satisfied with your setup, click “Save” in order to save your Post Engagement.
Tip
Due to existing technical limitations on the Instagram API, for the time being, you can only select a single text message as your Flow. This means you should not use actions, conditions, or tags prior to the first step message. Use the text card you want to send out. This also means you are not able to use capture User Input on this first message and there won't be any Typing Delays. In order to engage people further into your chatbot, use a Quick Reply to unlock all the chatbot features for a subscriber coming in via this entry point. Please also note that only quick replies can be used for the initial text message to be sent out. You may use the buttons on the next text cards connected to the quick replies.
Tip
Please note that Private Replies do not open the 24-hour window for standard messaging.
