Post Engagement (Facebook)

Post Engagement (Facebook)

Post Engagement is an entry point for people to your chatbot. Once set up, you can get your chatbot to privately reply to any person commenting on your Facebook fan page post or Facebook group. It’s a great way to follow up with your most engaged fans as well as to generate more Messenger subscribers.

Here's a short video on how Post Engagement works:

We hope the video sheds some light on the Post Engagement feature. If that went a bit too fast for your taste, please see the rest of the article about the Post Engagement Page.

Post Engagement Features

With the Post Engagement feature, you can acquire Messenger subscribers from your Facebook fan page posts. It enables you to capture new subscribers based on your desired set of requirements you set up, send them a message once they comment, and directly send a Flow once people become a subscriber.

Auto-like and Auto-reply to Comments

This feature also allows you to automatically like comments and reply to them in the comment section, while also sending a private message to the user who left a comment.

New: AI-Powered Comment Replies

You can now use OpenAI's Virtual Assistant which enhances your social media engagement by automating comment replies on Facebook Comments Replies, Facebook Fan Pages, Facebook Groups, and Facebook Page Reels.

Here’s What You're Now Able To do:

  • Automated Comment Replies: The Virtual Assistant can automatically reply to comments on Instagram, ensuring prompt and intelligent responses to your audience. All based on the training data you’ve given your Virtual Assistant over at OpenAI.

  • Integration with Facebook and Instagram: Seamlessly integrates with your Facebook pages and groups, providing a unified experience across platforms.

  • Customization and Control: Tailor the Virtual Assistant’s responses with customizable scripts and commands to align with your brand’s voice and messaging.

  • Multiple OpenAI Integrations: You can add as many Virtual Assistants as you can handle. Great when working with clients, absolutely amazing if you want a different Virtual Assistant for each post.

  • Document-Based Customization: Use our provided template to customize your Virtual Assistant’s knowledge base, ensuring responses are relevant to your business.

  • Advanced AI Responses: 100% control over which models you’d like to use; choose your model at OpenAI.

  • Seamless Integration with Clepher: Incorporate the Virtual Assistant with the Clepher platform for enhanced chatbot experiences.

Here's how easy it is to get going:

  1. Integrate your OpenAI account with Clepher

  2. Navigate to the Post Engagement feature

  3. Then, under "Auto Response", select the integration

  4. Finally, pick your Virtual Assistant.

In this section, you discover what you can do with the Post Engagement Feature

Settings

In this section you’ll discover more about the Settings section.

Enable to Privately Reply to first-level comments only

  • When enabled, your chatbot will only Privately Reply to the first-level comments only. This means any replies to comments (nested comments) will be skipped.

Send a message to the same user only once per post

  • When enabled, your chatbot will only Privately Reply to the same user once per post. This means that any additional comments by the same user will not trigger your chatbot to Privately Reply.

Require a post-reaction

  • When you provide a reaction (or reactions), Clepher first checks if the user has met the reaction you specified before sending out the Private Reply to the user’s comment.

Exclude comments with these keyword(s)

  • When you provide keyword(s), any user who comments on your Facebook fan page post including these keywords will not receive a Private Reply.

Only trigger for comments with these keyword(s)

  • When you provide keyword(s), any user who comments on your Facebook fan page post only receives a Private Reply if their comment(s) match the keyword(s) you’ve specified.

  • The text you specify here will be sent as a private message to everyone who successfully engaged with your post.

Send a private reply right after

  • Specify the delay after which users will receive the text message you’ve specified under “Private reply after post engagement”.

As of January 8, 2024, the delay options have been deprecated. The only remaining option is immediately.

Flow to send after submission

  • The selected flow/message will be sent to users who successfully replied to the message you’ve specified under “Private reply after post engagement”.

  • Click on “Open Preview” to preview the message the subscriber receives.

Important Tip about Post Engagement

People only become a subscriber once they have replied, or interacted with your chatbot after receiving the initial reply you’ve specified under “Private reply after post engagement”. So make sure your first reply is engaging enough so they become a subscriber once they reply to your first message.

Selecting your Fan Page Post

Applying all the settings you’ve specified to a fan page post or multiple fan page posts, is easy!

  • You simply click on the posts you would like to apply your desired settings to.

  • Once clicked, the fan page post gets highlighted with a Green Border which indicates this post is now selected.

    • You can select multiple fan page posts. Meaning any settings you specify can be applied to more posts than just one. However, a post can only be used once in setup. So any post you select will disappear in a new Post Engagement setup making sure things don’t conflict.

Selecting All Fan Page Post

You can also choose to apply the settings you specify to All Posts (this cover past and future post)

  • You simply click on Catch All Posts to apply your desired settings to All Past and Future Posts.

  • Once clicked, Catch All Posts gets highlighted with a Green Border which indicates this post is now selected.

Enabling your Post Engagement

To make your Post Engagement live, make sure you enable it.

  • To enable, make sure the toggle in the right upper corner is blue and switched to the right.

Saving your Post Engagement

  • Once satisfied with your setup, click “Save” in order to save your Post Engagement.
