Integrating Mailchimp

Mailchimp is the perfect partner to help you maximize your efficiency and effectiveness in connecting with and nurturing customers. With Clepher, you simply add your Mailchimp API details inside the Integration Manager on Page Level. Then on the Composer, you find the Mailchimp Card, and you drag 'n drop yourself any powerful automation.

What Mailchimp Actions and Fields are supported inside Clepher?

Supported Actions

  • Add Contact to Audience Adds an existing contact into a specific audience. If contact does not yet exist, a new contact will be created and then added to the audience.

  • Delete Contact from Audience - Deletes an existing contact from a specific audience.

 

Want to forward subscriber data like Email Address, Phone Number, and Tags to Mailchimp? Simply fill out a couple of fields, point 'n click a couple of times... and data is transferred over to your favorite AutoResponder where you can further automate everything you'd like.

Supported Fields

  • Email Address - You forward any Custom Field of the type email here, the Custom Field you use to store subscriber's email addresses in.

  • Phone Number - In addition to the email address, a phone number can be set to any created or updated Mailchimp contact from Clepher.

  • Tags - Clepher supports sending tags to a Mailchimp contact. Tags can be specified manually as well as automatically by syncing existing tags inside Clepher.

 

Note that the First and Last Name are automatically set by Clepher from your subscriber’s Name.

How to Get Started with Mailchimp

  • To get started with Mailchimp, first, navigate to the Integrations page and click Create New, then select Mailchimp.

 

 

  • The connection form will ask you for your API URL and key, which can be found in the settings section of Mailchimp.

 

How to get your Mailchimp API

If you want to set up an integration with your Mailchimp account, you'll need to get generate an API key. Users with Manager permissions can generate and view their own API keys. Users with Admin permissions can also see API keys for other account users.

 

 

 

 

  1. Click this link to navigate to the API Keys section of your Mailchimp account: Your API Keys

  2. Copy an existing API key or click the Create A Key button.

  3. Name your key descriptively, so you know what application uses that key, for example, “Clepher”.

4. Copy your API Key and paste this information into the form.

5. Finish the connection process by specifying a meaningful name for your integration.

To give you a brief explanation, you do this while building out your Flows with the Composer. There’s a specific card, just for this purpose, that allows you to ask for the subscriber’s email, and when set up correctly, that email is forwarded to any of the services you integrated under Integrations, and automatically added to the list you specify under this card.
