Welcome Message
You can set up a Welcome Message to greet your subscribers in the “Configuration” tab. With the Welcome Message, you can help your subscribers understand what to expect from your chatbot.
Here's a short video on how Welcome Message works:
We hope the video sheds some light on the welcome message feature. If that went a bit too fast for your taste, please see the rest of the article about the Welcome Message.
Welcome Message Overview
With the Welcome Message, you can help your subscribers understand what to expect from your chatbot. Helpful information to include in your Welcome Message are:
What is your chatbot about?
How often do you post and/or send broadcasts?
Tell subscribers how they Manage Subscriptions
To be frank, anything else that you think is important. Anything else that makes them feel welcomed (like your hours of operation, availability, or even your most favorite cat GIF).
Keep in mind, everybody who clicks “Get Started” to start a conversation with your bot will receive the Welcome Message!
Welcome Message Specifics
Setting up your welcome message is easy. Here are some of its features:
Enable-Disable Toggle
- The little toggle in the upper right corner of Welcome Message allows you to disable or enable the Welcome Message.
Flow Selection Field
- This field will show the list of flows available to be set as your welcome message. There is no limitation in setting up your welcome message.
Open Preview
- You can also preview the Welcome Message: to do so, click “Open Preview” next to the “Save” button. This opens up a lightbox with your Preview.
Save Welcome Message
- This happens automatically on selecting your desired Flow.
How to set up your Welcome Message
Almost everything inside Clepher is revolving around Flows. The Welcome Message is no exception. In order to select a Flow that’s to be used as a Welcome Message, you need to create one (or select an existing one if you already created a Welcome Message).
1. Select Create New Flow from the Welcome Message drop-down:
- This takes you to the Flow Composer where you can set up your new Welcome Message Flow. In this case, we created one consisting out 2 Text Cards.
2. “Save” the Flow, and navigate back to “Configure” again.
3. Once on “Configure” again. Navigate to the Welcome Message drop-down and Select the Flow you’ve just created. Saving happens automatically. Make sure the little toggle in the right upper corner is enabled in order to make your Welcome Message appear in your Chatbot.
