Flow Composer

The Flow Composer is the beating heart of Clepher, better yet, your chatbot. You use the Flow Composer to create the Flows that 'make your chatbot'. You simply Drag the cards from the left onto the Canvas on the right. You can connect cards together by using the Connectors. In this article, you find some general information on the Flow Composer.

Flow Composer Overview

The Flow Composer is where you build the Flows of your Chatbot.

The Left Part of the Flow Composer

In the left part displays the Cards, you can drag and drop a Card such as a Text Card, Image Card, Video Card and more to the canvas area.

Flow Composer Cards

The Flow Composer consists of many cards and is divided into 6 parts:

Message Types

  • These cards are the common cards used for building your chatbot.

Button Actions

  • These cards are used in your buttons for the following purposes:

Web Views

  • These cards are used for scheduling purposes and also supports a video like Youtube, etc.

Ask For

  • These cards are used to capture information from your subscribers.

Actions

  • These cards are used to perform actions within your flows.

Integrations

  • These cards are used to Integrate third-party tools.

For a more detailed overview see Flow Composer Cards here.

The Right Part of the Flow Composer

The right part displays the Canvas.

The Canvas

This is the part where you drag ‘n drop Card on to and build out the flows of your chatbot. It simultaneously functions as both a general overview and a building platform.

Zooming

  • The Zoom-in and Zoom-out buttons allowing you to zoom out when things get too crowded, or to zoom in when you need to take a closer look.

Saving

  • The top right corner shows the "Save" button which allows you to save your current work in progress.

  • Note that the system is not capable of autosave at the moment, so make it a habit to save every now and then where possible.

Messenger Vs. Instagram Overview

Since you're not able to use all the same Message Types over at Instagram, you'll find that the Instagram composer looks slightly different when comparing it to the Messenger Composer. For instance, there are only 2 Message Types, Text Card and Image Card. For now, you can only use Quick Replies, that's why in the Flow Composer cards you won't have the ability to add buttons. And because of this, both the Button Actions and Webviews section have been removed on the Instagram Composer.

Instagram Flow Composer Cards

This means that the Instagram Flow Composer still consists of many cards and is divided into 4 parts:

Message Types

  • These cards are the common cards used for building your chatbot. But you can only use 2 Message Types, Text Card and Image Card.

Ask For

  • These cards are used to capture information from your subscribers.

Actions

  • These cards are used to perform actions within your flows.

Integrations

  • These cards are used to Integrate third-party tools.
