Global Fields

Global Fields allows you to store chatbot data and sets of values depending on your subscriber’s actions. They look like Custom Fields but instead of storing values related to the Subscriber, they store values that are related to your chatbot.

Global Fields Features

In the next section, you discover how to set up your Global Fields. There are multiple ways you can use Global Fields, for instance:

  1. Coupons - Track the number of coupons you distribute in Messenger and notify yourself when they run out.

  2. Track Attendees - Track webinar/event attendees and get notified as soon as there are less than 10 spots left.

  3. Decrease the numbers - Decrease the number of products left in stock by 1 each time someone makes a purchase in your bot.

  4. Bot Ratings - ask your subscribers to rate your chatbot and easily keep track of these ratings.

  • In the right upper corner, you can also use the search field. Search terms are applied to all data in the table. This means you can search for an individual Global Fields by typing the name, or only choose to show Completed Global Fields by typing the word “Completed”.

8. Next/Previous Page

  • In the bottom right corner, you can view the next page or previous page by clicking “next” or “previous”. This allows you to navigate through all your Global Fields.

  • You find Global Field Tags under the "User Icon"  (where you also find your Personalization Tags and Custom Fields).

Using a Perform Action card with Global Fields?

You can also automate Custom Fields through the use of a Perform Action Card:

  • Set Global Field Value

  • Clear Global Field Value

See the documentation on Setting/Clearing a Global Field using a Perform Action card if you need more information.

Using Global Fields with Segmentation?

Global Fields have full Segmentation Support.

  • You can segment your audience based on a Global Field value. Giving you better targeting options while sending broadcasts, and more to play with when using it in conjunction with Condition Cards.

Tip

If you manage multiple clients, there's no need to go through manually updating some of the data in your Flows, instead, replace the values set in the Global Fields once - and the values get updated across the entire chatbot. This speeds up bot building. This means you can get more done, in less time.
