Random Path Card Settings Explained
The Settings tab in the Random Path Card consists of 4 parts; Card title, Path name, Path weight and add variant which are explained next.
1. Card Title
Enter a name for your message. It is recommended to specify something that’s easily identifiable in the ‘message naming’ field as you might need to edit and/or use this message in another area of Clepher.
2. Path Name
The version name choice of your variant.
3. Path Weight
Split traffic between paths to test which produces a better outcome.
Gives you the ability to set the weight for each of your random paths.
i.e. if you want to pick a winner out of 1 million entries, you will just have to create 2 paths, one with a weight of 1 and one with a weight of 999,999.
Instead of predefined weights, you set manually, you can actually use weights you get from Custom fields or Air variables in case your random path weights change all the time or need to be pulled from remote web services.
4. Add Variant
This button allows you to add more variants. You are allowed to add up to 10 variants per card.
If you need more variants than 10 you can always link a random card to another random card, this gives you more paths, and you can do that as many times as you want.
Important Note
Any changes made inside the card are temporarily auto-saved whether you click on the save button, the close button, or simply click outside the card on your screen. To save your progress, it is important to always click the "Save" button (in the top right corner) on the Flow Composer to apply any changes made.
